Bible Fullness Is

To really understand the FULLNESS I am talking about we have to find it in the Bible, which contains eternal truths and revelations of Life. Yup, fullness is sure in there! You just might be surprised at what it includes. Hey, just in case you find the Bible boring (as I did years ago) just ask Him for God encounters. Of course sometimes He sets that up to happen because He wants us to really know Him. That happened to me and the Bible became alive. Truth jumped off the pages! So ask for God encounters He loves those requests for you were made for that!

Of course the earlier post of Full Elaborates Fullness gave us 'full' dictionary definitions that helped expand our understanding of what FULLNESS could possibly include. But there's more, so much more.

BTW the Bible is the Word of God - so if what you believe doesn't line up with the whole counsel of God then best to reconsider your beliefs/experiences.

Okay, drum roll - the Bible says

For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace. (Jn 1:16)

For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him. (Col 1:19)

For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority. (Col 2:9)

Hmm, looks like fullness is found in a Person. So who is 'Him'? His name is Jesus. He is also known as Emmanuel - meaning God with us. (see Mt 1: 21,23)  Now this has huge ramifications! Watch it unfold throughout this blog.

Sadly some have said or say, 'He's just a man, a prophet, a good teacher, a kind soul.' Boy, are they missing out! But God can show them as deep inside He put within all of us a seeking desire for this fullness. Remember, 'of this fullness we have all received' - it's there waiting to be discovered - but can only be found in Jesus, the Son of God.

Truly Jesus, God in the flesh, came to reveal the Father and His eternal purposes. Do you know He came to more than just save us from our sins. It's bigger than we realize!

Father, grace us with a spirit of wisdom
and of revelation in the knowledge of Jesus.
To think that in Him the fullness of the Deity dwells!
What does that mean?!
Stir up that part of me that has been made to be
a seeker of and a receiver of this FULLNESS.
Where I've limited you or believed wrongly bring change.
Your word says I have been made complete in Him.
Have I really experienced the fullness of being made complete?
My life sure doesn't feel like it sometimes.
I don't want to settle for little when there is a lot.
And to think fullness comes by grace upon grace.
Wow, help me even know what that means!

Full Elaborates Fullness

Ever take time to ponder? Ever take time to imagine? Might be an avenue towards fullness!

Let's consider some definitions of the word "full" (v.) to elaborate on  trying to understand FULLNESS(n.). Ponder/imagine these definitions in regards to your body, soul and spirit. BTW - do you know you are a spirit, you have a soul, and you live in a body? In addition, our soul consists of our mind, will, and emotions. Our spirit man is the most important part of us and is meant to positively influence the rest of us via the Life of God when we receive Jesus (my what a wonder He is!). However, guess who's usually in charge? ;o)  But there's hope because of FULLNESS.

Back to definitions (The American Heritage College Dictionary)
"full" (v.)
  1. containing all that is normal or possible
  2. complete in every particular
  3. being at the peak of development or maturity
  4. having a great deal
  5. totally qualified, accepted, or empowered
  6. having depth of body
  7. rich
Okay let's have fun with pondering and imagining about those definitions above:
  1. What is normal or possible in the spiritual realm of fullness?
  2. Whoa! To be complete in every particular? Sounds like He is into detail and wholeness?
  3. Do you think He already sees us at the peak of development and maturity? If He is the beginning and the end seems He already sees the peak of fullness!
  4. Is 'having a great deal' about quantity? Maybe. Or do we get great deal (a real bargain) in FULLNESS!?
  5. Ever felt totally qualified, accepted, or empowered? Wouldn't that be something? It's available in fullness and it's free. That's part of the great deal. Really!
  6. Hmm - having depth of body. Is this for tall people? Maybe this is depth of substance? Kind of like Ps 42:7 "Deep calls unto deep..." Since we are made in His image I'd say we all have a lot of depth. Oh to see that in each other!
  7. Rich? Are we talkin' dollars here? Nope. I would equate this to Rom 10:12 "...abounding in riches for all who call on Him."
Did one or two of those definitions stir you - even rock you? Maybe you have a 'ponder'? Comments and question are most welcome. We were made to grow in fullness together. (Hmm - together - a powerful truth - more on that later.) So let's share and get full!

Growing In Fullness Is

First post on "Growing In Fullness"!

Why do I want to talk about fullness? Because it has made and is making all the difference in my life. And it can and will make all the difference in yours!
Here's a few questions to consider as I launch this blog:
  •  What is fullness?
  •  Where is fullness found?
  •  Why do I need fullness?
  •  Is there a Who involved in this fullness stuff?
  •  Is there a limit to fullness?
  •  Is it hard to grow in fullness?
  •  How long does it take to get this fullness?
  • Are there different ways fullness happens?
Want more? But here's a warning - it may not happen the way you think it should! Be open. Fullness is where it's at. You'll see.
